Evansville police arrested a man outside a bar on Claremont Avenue on Sunday after receiving calls about a man with a gun.
According to a police report cited by WFIE, officers found 32-year-old Corey Auberry outside and handcuffed him after people inside the bar told them he had removed a handgun from his waistband and started racking it. When officers found the gun lying in the grass, they determined it was a BB gun.
Officers said they also found prescription pills and marijuana on Auberry, along with a pipe and a scale.
Police said Auberry faces charges including intimidation with a deadly weapon, public intoxication, possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance, resisting law enforcement, possession of paraphernalia and escape. The charges are allegations and have not been proven in court.
