Drivers in La Porte face a long closure on U.S. 35 starting this week. Beginning on or after Thursday, Oct. 22, U.S. 35/Indiana Avenue will be closed between Osborn Street and Warwick Street.
The closure is expected to remain in place through the end of the year. The detour follows State Road 2, State Road 39 and U.S. 6.
Closures on U.S. 35 will continue into spring 2027 as crews work to connect the road with the finished portion between State Road 2/Lincolnway and Maple Avenue.
