Drivers in Portage will need another route on Monday, Nov. 2, when Oakhill Road closes for the day.
The closure covers the stretch from Waverly Road to Morningside Drive and is scheduled to run from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m.
NIPSCO has contracted a tree trimming company to carry out vegetation mitigation work along the road during the closure.
Portage police are asking drivers to seek an alternate route while the work is underway.
