The Food Bank of Northern Indiana has released its November mobile food distribution schedule, opening with two stops in La Porte County.
The first stop is Tuesday, Nov. 3, from 10 a.m. to noon Central at Road to Life, 7056 W. 450 N in Michigan City. The distribution is sponsored by Citizens Concerned for the Homeless and will serve 200 households, while supplies last.
A second La Porte County stop follows Wednesday, Nov. 4, from 10 a.m. to noon Central at Dunes Volleyball Club, 110 Clearlake Blvd. in La Porte. That distribution will serve 150 households.
Later November stops listed in the schedule include Elkhart County on Nov. 5, Starke County on Nov. 12 and Kosciusko County on Nov. 23.
All items are offered free of charge and are pre-boxed and pre-bagged, with one box or bag per household on a first-come, first-served basis. Distributions are drive-through; people are asked to remain in their vehicles and open their trunks to receive items.
