More than 100 people are back at work at Jasper Rubber Products, and the manufacturer says another 100 jobs are expected over the next two years under its new owner.

The 77-year-old Jasper company closed its facilities in March 2026 under its previous owner, First Brands Group. Fort Wayne-based Press-Seal Corporation purchased Jasper Rubber Products in July 2026.

Company officials say they plan to restart a second shift before the end of this year and add a third shift in the first quarter of 2027. Supervisors and team leads for those shifts are already being hired and trained on first shift.

Press-Seal CEO and chairman Pete Skinner credited the returning workforce with rebuilding the plant's reputation. The company expects employment at Jasper to reach about 200 by July 2028.
