Evansville police have arrested a second suspect in the shooting death of 17-year-old James Brown, who was killed on Oct. 11 on Madison Avenue near Bedford Avenue.

Police say Ayden Simms, 17, was arrested and charged with murder. The charge is an allegation and has not been proven in court.

Keaton Howard, 18, was arrested earlier in the same case. Police have said a rap video posted online helped investigators identify him, and he has also been charged with murder. That charge is also an allegation.

According to a probable-cause affidavit cited by police, the shooting grew out of an ongoing feud between two local groups police identified as "The Sev" and "The Three Fours."

Police say the investigation is continuing.
