Ginny Ritchie, who owns Ginny Rose Studio in LaGrange, has won Ivy Tech Community College Fort Wayne and Kosciusko County's 2026 New Venture Competition. The decision came on Oct. 8, and the prize is $40,000 to grow her beauty and skincare business.
Ritchie plans to build a mobile unit so equipment can travel more easily to weddings, bachelorette parties and vendor events. She also wants to develop a private-label skincare and makeup line for a range of skin types, especially sensitive skin, and to buy new equipment for facial services.
Her downtown LaGrange studio offers customized facials, full body waxing, spray tanning, Swedish massage and permanent jewelry. This was her third run at the competition: she first entered after earning an Ivy Tech entrepreneurship certificate in 2022, and in 2024 she finished a close second, then added the permanent jewelry service from that pitch anyway.
