Fort Wayne police are looking for Patrick Herron, 41, after a warrant was issued for him on Wednesday in a case involving repeated reports about a woman.
Court records cited by WPTA say Herron is charged with false reporting causing terror and with harassment. The charges are allegations and have not been proven in court.
According to the reporting, police contacted the woman early last month after Herron accused her of serious crimes. Investigators later described his reports as false and baseless, including a claim involving $16.04 taken from his bank account.
Police also documented a series of social media posts in which Herron made wide-ranging accusations against the woman. The woman told investigators the reports, posts and his focus on her left her worried he could find where she lives and put her and her children at risk.
